CLUB FACILITIES ON MORETON ISLAND
The Moreton Island facilities are for club members use and their guests. The club land is a short distance south of the Tangalooma wrecks where the Micat ferry disembarks. Members can bring their boats across and use one of the three pink mooring buoys or anchor. Alternatively you can come across on the Tangalooma Flyer. The land offers camping facilities and also a caravan and fixed annexe. The facilities include; power, hot showers, toilets, cooking facilities, refrigeration, camp-sites, eating areas and much more.
All skippers who use the mooring buoys must display an all-round white anchor light between sunset and sunrise. This is required by Maritime Safety Queensland authorities.
All members wishing to use the club facilities must notify the Secretary to obtain approval. The member must fill in a Form 37 and also a Club Land booking form and send forms and payment to the secretary. The forms and Moreton Island Club House and Land Rules can all be downloaded from the “Download Page”.
The club organises regular working bees, and all members are encouraged to come across and help out for the day, or stay overnight with great company. Working bee dates will be posted on the Home Page of this website.
